Electron Spin Resonance of Radiation Damage Centers in NH_4H_2PO_4 Single Crystal Doped with K_2SeO_4

Radiation damage centers in ADP(NH_4H_2PO_4):K_2SeO_4 mixed crystal were studied with ESR in the temperature range from 90K to 350K. It is found that there are SeO_4^<3->, SeO_4^- and SeO_3^- radicals in the crystal, and that SeO_4 tetrahedral unit takes substitutionally the position of PO_4 unit. The ESR spectrum of SeO_4^<3-> radical has well-resolved proton super-hyperfine structure which shows the "quintet to triplet" transition, and exhibits domain splitting in low temperature range as seen on AsO_4^<4-> radical in KDA(KH_2AsO_4). Using the temperature dependence of the domain splitting and line widths, the correlation time for the motion of Se^<77> nucleus was estimated. The temperature dependence of correlation times is well fitted to the Arrhenius law: τ_c=τ_<co>・exp(E_a/kT) with E_a=0.19eV for ADP:K_2SeO_4 and E_a=0.11eV for KDP:K_2SeO_4.
