Dielecttic constant and dielectric loss at 3.8 GHz of six haloalkanes (viz. 1, 3-Dibromopropane; 1, 4-Dibromobutane; 1, 5-Dibromopentane; 1, 6-Dibromohexane; 1, 1-Dichloro-1-Nitroethane and 1, 1, 2, 2-Tetrabromoerhane) in solutions of a wide range of viscosities are reported in this paper. It is found that the plots of log τ_s vs log η are not straight line. The data has been interpreted in terms of viscoelastic behaviour of the solvents.
