A reactive, equilibrium hypersonic gas flow over a slender body is treated. The reaction considered is υ_1A+υ_2B=(υ_1+υ_2)C, and it is assumed that the molecular weights ,and the specific heats at constant pressure of species "A", "B" and "C" are the same respectively. It is show that approximate similarity solutions exist for power law bodies r_b∼x^m. Numerical results for several values of m for two dimensional bodies and bodies of revolution are presented for the reaction N_2+O_2=2NO.
