We have analysed the effect of men-thertnal electrons on the interaction between the electro-static ion-cyclotron wave and drift xvave, takitag into accotrnt the low freqttency ponderomotiveforce. It is observed that one of the equation is a generalisation of' tlae fatuous Hasegawa-llvlirnaform with a non-zero right hand side representing interaction witla iotu cyclotron wave. In thesecond part we have treated only the drift wave eqttatiora in the non-interacting liunit and haveobtained exact vortex like solutioras. L?'tst1y, the nuodtrlational instability of the drift wave isstudied in the non-interaction liunit, by deriving a non-linear Schrodinger equation.
