The multiple scattering of fast electrons by thin foils has been calculated on the assumption that the electrons are diffracted by minute crystals forming the foil. The method used was that of Williams and the resulting distribution of the projected angles is given. The result shows a better agreement with most of the experiments than the previous theories.
