• Parametric excitations of the ion plasma oscillations are investigated in the mercury vapour plasma. The ion plasma oscillation is excited by the pumping oscillation at 2f_<pi> and 2/3f_<pi>, where f_<pi> is the ion plasma frequency. The simultaneous parametric excitation of the ion plasma oscillation and low frequency oscillations, whose frequencies are given by f_0±f_<pi> where f_0 is the pumping frequency, is also studied experimentally.
