The band structure of ferromagnetic iron is calculated by the Green's function method. The crystal potential is determined self-consistently for both spin-up and spin-down electrons, respectively. The theoretical results are compared with experimental results: the electronic specific heat, the magnetoresistance, de Haas-van Alphen effect and the scattering form factors. The agreement between the seseems to be satisfactory.
