Anomalous Pulsed Microwave Emission at Cyclotron Frequency in Partially Ionized Plasmas

An extension of the study of the anomalous microwave emission at cyclotron frequency in partially ionized plasmas, which has been reported previously, is described. It is shown that the emission is not stationary with respect to time. It is emitted pulsively at some definite phase of the low frequency oscillation, which is present in the dc discharge plasma. The peak power of its pulsed emission is extremely large and the power obtained is larger by 2×10^4 times than that of the blackbody, if the plasma is in thermal equilibrium. It is inferred that such emission can be observed at the cathode side of the plasma, but can not at the anode side.
