It is shown that the problem of localized vibration of a lattice with an impurity can be treated as a problem of random walk. s-dimensional simple cubic lattice is considered. Examples are given for the special cases of 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional lattices with an impurity. Probability of steps of the random walk is interpreted by introducing a virtual time.
