Observations have been made on the heavy fragments from stars produced by cosmic-rays and 6.2BeV protons from the Bevatrons. The charges of the heavy fragments were determined by measuring the width of tracks. The charge distribution of the heavy fragments emitted from silver or bromine nuclei seems approximately to decrease exponentially. The energy distributions of lithium and beryllium nearly agreed with the curves deduced from the evaporation model, assuming the appropriate nuclear temperatures and Coulomb barrier heights. The angular distributions of them were nearly isotropic. According to these results, the process of slow fragment emission seems to be interpreted as that of evaporation.
