The 24th Annual Convention of the Japanese Educational psychology was held at the University of Tsukuba, Niihari-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture, from November 26 to 28, under the anspices of the Institute of Psychology at the University. Prof.Dr.Akikawa of the university acted as the president of the Convention. The total number of participants reached 1184 including regular, temporary, and student members. The academic program wasa carried as follows: 1) 484(out of 492)individual papers were actually read by regular menmbers in 7 divisions of psychology. 2) Two symposia were organized by the Convention Committee: Symposium I, "Present-Day Tasks of Pupil Guidance; Chiefly the Problems of Delinquence and Violence" was chaired by Prof.T.Aikawa and Prof.R.Kato; Symposium II, "Teaching of School Subjects and Educational Psychology-Focusing on the Problems of Language Teaching-was chaired by Prof.J.Haga and Prof.S.Fukuzawa. 3) Three symoisia were organized by the Research Committee of the Japanese Association of Educational Psychology: Special Report Symposium "On the Concept of Relationship in Developmental Research" was chaired by Prof.H.Oka, and Symposium I, "Problems in Adovanced Training of Educational psychologists (2)"was chiared by Prof.K.Amano, and Symposium II, "Educational Practice and School Counseling: How to promote school counseling in daily educational practices." was chaired by Prof.Y.Kawai. 4) Volunteer members presented 5 symposia accepted beforehand by the Convention Committee. 5) A special lecture on "Education for Creativity Development" was given by Prof.G.Kwakita, in the Institute of History & Anthropoligy at the University of Tsukuba. Many thanks to all concerned; was greatly appreciated the active part taken by everyone and all in making this Convention a success. The summaries of the individual presentation sessions and symposium sessions are given in the Annual Report by the chairmen of these sessions.
