概要

• The 20th Annual Convention of the Japanese Educational Psychology was held at Yokohama National University, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, from Septmber 2 to 4, 1978, under the auspices of the Faculty of Education, Yokohama national University. Prof.T.Mamiya, Department of Psychology of the University served as president of the convention. The total number of participants reached 1106 including regular, temporary and student members. The academic program consisted of the following sessions: 1)Fifty-nine individual submitted paper sessions. 451(out of 456)individual papers were actually expressed by regular members according to 7 divisions of Psychology. 2)A special symposium was organized by the Research Committee of Japaness Association of Educational Psychology. Prof.J.Kagan(Harvard Univ. )was invited to the panel discussion on the thema, "Cognitive Socialization". Prof.K.Miyake, Pof.S.Sukemune also participated in the discussion as panels. 3)Two special symposia(symposium A and B)in memory of the 20the anniversary of the convention was organized by the Convention Committee. Symposium A was titled " 20-year-long History of the Convention of the Japanese Educational Psychology and Its Future" and was made of four sections: 'Development', 'Instruction-Learning Prosess', 'Personality and Clinical Psychlolgy' and 'Human Relation'. Symposium B titled "Educational Psychlogy viewed from School-Rooms" and consisted of three sections: 'Suggestions from Curriculum Education', suggestions from Education of the Handicapped', 'Suggestions from School Counselor'. 4)Two special lectures were organized by the Convention Committee. Prof.B.Kido, one of the founders of the convention, gave an lecture on " Problem and Research Method of Education Psychology". Prof.W.Arnold(Univ.of Wuerzburg)was invited by the committee to give a lecture on Educational Psychology in W.Germany. The collected abstracts of presented papers(XXth Convention of Japanese Educational Psychology)were published and distributed to the regular members in advance. In the following Annual Report are found the reports summarized by the regular members who acted as chairmen in the individual submitted paper sessions, the special sessions and symposium sessions.
