We observed the Seyfert 2 galaxy Mrk 1210 with BeppoSAX and found that the X-ray spectral properties are quite different from those found in the previous observation by ASCA. We find that the reflection component describes the previously observed ASCA spectra with good precision. This indicates that the dramatic spectral variability can be attributed to a large change in the absorption column density by a factor greater than 5, rather than the variability of the nuclear emission. In this case, the torus is not homogeneous but is like a blob of size <0.001 pc.
