The model is applied to high spin resonances observed in ^<24>Mg+^<24>Mg and ^<28>Si+^<28>Si scatterings. Stable configurations of the systems are found to be a pole-pole (^<24>Mg+^<24>Mg) and equator-equator (^<28>Si+^<28>Si) ones, respectively. Normal modes around the equilibria are solved to give rise to various molecular levels, which appear to be in good correspondence with experiments. As a spectroscopic information probability distributions in the elastic and inelastic channels are investigated, with respect to the intrinsic excitation energies of the resonance states. Partial decay widths in the elastic and inelastic channels of ^<24>Mg+^<24>Mg are calculated, and characteristic features associated with the dominant channel spins and orbital angular momenta are found to be in good agreement with experiments. With emphasis on the rotational band with very large Q-moment, competition between fragment decays and strong in-band E2-transition is examined. The estimated ratio Γ_γ/Γ_<total> is surprisingly large to give a chance to observe γ-rays from a quasi-molecular band.
