Neutral Current Reactions and SU(3)×U(1) Gauge Models

The neutral currents of all possible SU(3)×U(1) gauge models which are built on some assumptions are investigated phenomenologically. The recent experimental data on total cross section, π-production ratio and elastic cross section of neutrino-nucleon interactions give severe constraints to the coupling constants of neutrino-induced neutral current of ordinary quarks. Several SU(3)×U(1) gauge models are selected to agree with these experimental data. Among them, two models are extensively studied in comparison with the various neutral current reactions.
