Final State Interactions in the Veneziano Model

The final state interactions parametrized by a scattering length and a low energy resonance are considered in the Veneziano type model. The resulting amplitude is shown to satisfy the unitarity equation approximately in the low energy region. The high energy behavior of the amplitude is examined. It is concluded that the correct high energy behavior is maintained in the model.
