Synchronization and a Critical Phenomenon of Pulse-Coupled Oscillators

A one-dimensional Oscillator model is proposed and studied numerically. Each oscillator exhibits a stickslip motion and pulses are emitted to the neighboring sites at the moment of the firing. Avalanches of slips with various sizes appear when the perfectly synchronous state becomes unstable.
