The energy spectrum of background gravitational waves produced during inflation to the matter-dominated epoch is evaluated for the simultaneous Hamiltonian diagonalizing vacuum. It is shown that the energy spectrum almost coincides with that in Allen's work in which the Bunch-Davies vacuum is adopted as the initial state. The application of the simultaneous Hamiltonian diagonalization condition seems to be valid.
