The structure of the order parameter and the free energy of the superfluid 3^He confined in the pore, whose radius is comparable to the coherence length of the superfluid, are studied. In this situation the gradient energy plays a crucial role to determine the structure of the order parameter and/or condensation state. The superfluid A and B phases are examined, which shows that the A phase becomes more stable than the B phase under the condition that the pore radius R is smaller than some critical radius R_c even in the weak coupling limit. The critical radius R_c is calculated to be 〜10^2 nm. So this size effect seems to give one of the possible mechanisms of nucleation in the B→A phase transition.
