The problem of the competition between two kinds of fluctuations is studied in a quasi-one-dimensional electron system with two kinds of interchain-interaction. The multiplicative renormalization group method is used. A model with interchain-interaction of the screened Coulomb type is studied. the competition between the charge density wave and the singlet superconductivity is investigated. The result is as follows. (1) The interchain-interaction relevant to the less dominant fluctuation vanishes at the transition temperature of the dominant fluctuation. This shows that the less dominant fluctuation does not exist below the transition temperature. (2) The existence of the interchain-interaction relevant to the less dominant fluctuation reduces the transition temperature except for a special case. This is the case where the Coulomb type interchain-interaction relevant to the less dominant fluctuation is not screened. Further, the transition temperature dependent on the strength of screening of interchain-interaction is studied.
