The pair correlation is studied in astronomical, bound and self-gravitating systems. Assuming the correlation function is of the power form, we calculate modifications of the virial theorem due to the correlation. Using observational data we estimate the magnitudes of correlation of two globular clusters, two dwarf elliptical galaxies, two giant elliptical galaxies and the Coma cluster of galaxies. The relative contribution of correlation to the potential energy in the virial equation is less than 10^< -2> 〜10^< -4> .
