The mean field approximation is applied to single out the condensation < A^a_μ A^b_ν> in the axial gauge A^a_3 =0. The same properties of the vacuum obtained in the Landau gauge are derived : The vacuum is in the electrically confining and magnetically superconducting phase. By extracting the condensation from the dual Hamiltonian, the dual potential becomes massive which is responsible for the dual Meissner effect.
