Can We Expand the Operator Products near the Light-Cone in Terms of Regular Bilocal Operators?

It is shown that in theories with nontrivial anomalous dimensions, including asymptotically free gauge theory, operator products cannot be expanded near the light-cone in terms of regular bilocal operators. In other words, when we expand the operator products in terms of bilocal operators, then these "bilocal operators" are either really bilocal but singular or regular but local.
