Large Transverse Momentum Processes and a Hard Scattering Model of Urbaryons with Two-Jet Structure

Two-jet production in large P_T hadronic reactions is investigated on the basis of a hard scattering model of urbaryons. In terms of urbaryon rearrangement amplitudes, it is shown that the two-jet production cross section can be described as a scaling form E(dσ/d^3p)^<jet>|_<θc.m.=90°>〜P_T^<-N>f(x_T). The P_T and x_T dependence of this is comparable with experiments on single-particle spectrum. In particular, it is remarkable that UR model gives the P_T^<-8> behavior in the ISR region (x_T≲0.4) together with the non-scaling behavior of effective power N. The value of N increases with x_T up to 12 for two (qq^^-)-jet production as a result of correlation effect between hard urbaryon lines and other lines. Our results are in striking contrast with the parton model in which P_T^<-4> dependence is predicted from dimensional counting argument.
