A method is introduced for the kinematical analysis of data obtained from the study of multiple pion production at very high energy, without making use of a symmetry assumption for the angular distribution of pions in the Centre of Mass System. Expressions are derived which, for constant and known transverse momentum of the emitted pions, give the inelasticity in the Mirror System, the four-momentum transfer and the transverse momentum of the target particles. Introducing the asymmetry factor, which is obtainable appropriately in the practical case, it is shown to be possible to derive formulae which, also for constant and known pion transverse momentum, yield, in good approximation, the total energy and the angular momentum of the pions in the Centre of Mass System, and the Lorentz factor of the Centre of Mass. The new formula for the Lorentz factor is compared with Castagnoli's formula, for the case in which a true asymmetry exists.
