Ground States of Ca Isotopes

The properties of the ground states, the binding energies (pairing energies) and magnetic moment of the isotopes Ca^<42>, Ca^<43>, and Ca^<44> are studied from the standpoint of configuration mixing. All the states with one- and two-particle excitations of f_<5/2> or p_<3/2> particle are mixed with the main configuration f^<n_<7/2>>j. The calculated values of the pairing energies and magnetic moment are in agreement with the experimental values if two-body interaction with the Rosenfeld spin mixture is used for the interaction between nucleons in the unfilled shell.
