A unified treatment with the principle of zero (the cancellation of divergences) of quadratic and logarithmic divergences in the lowest order mass differences between members of hadron unitary multiplet caused by weak boson and photon is presented. It is shown that with charged currents alone, the divergences cannot be cancelled, whereas with a neutral current added, which assures |ΔI|=1/2, the cancellation occurs under rather natural choices of parameters, so that the above principle suggests one way to approach the divergence problems and the existence of a neutral current.
