Phenomenological Separable N-^<12>C Interaction with Correct Energy-Dependence in Positive and Negative Energy Regions : Nuclear Physics

This paper proposes an N-^<12>C optical potential. At positive energies, it has an absorption effect through couplings to reaction channels, while at negative energies it supports bound states with appropriate probability strengths of the N-^<12>C configuration. Because of this energy dependence, it can be used for rigorous three-body analyses of nuclear reactions. Some features in a multi-channel problem are also discussed.
