Deformed charge distributions of ^<20>Ne and ^<28>Si are determined from electron scattering within a framework of the rotational model. Deformed Fermi distributions are assumed for the intrinsic charge distributions of these nuclei and the DWBA analysis is carried out for the ground-band transitions. The results are compared with (p,p') and (α,α') results. The validity of the scattering analysis using the rotational model is also examined to some extent. For this purpose, previous rotational model results for ^<20>Ne, ^<24>Mg and ^<28>Si with Nilsson-like intrinsic states are compared with the results using angular momentum projection.
