The low-energy neutron scattering on ^<12>C is treated by the generalized R-matrix theory. The microscopic wave function is assumed for the intrinsic state of ^<12>C and realistic effective two-body potentials are used for the interaction between the incident nucleon and nucleons of the target. The antisymmetrization between the incident nucleon and the nucleons of the target is found to be very importart. The relation between the antisymmetrization and the renormalization of the interaction strength needed in the microscopic coupled channel calculation is discussed. Without the antisymmetrization or the renormalization, it is impossible to reproduce the resonances at reasonable position by the present calculation. The calculated widths of the resonances, however, disagree with the observed ones even if the antisymmetrization is taken into account.
