The Δ-resonance production in the inclusive reaction P+P→Δ^<++> (1236)+"anything" is studied by π- and ρ- Regge exchange mechanism. Though it is possible to get fairly good fits to the data by this mechanism, a feature of the data leads us to consider a novel behavior of the absorption effect accompanying the π-exchange. In general, this behavior of the absorption seems to be important for understanding adequate suppression of low-multiplicity events at high energies.
