Analyzing recent experimental data on ^16O+^16O elastic scattering at different energies, we provided the set of calculations using the simplest parametrization of the repulsive core potential. Within the framework of sudden approximation for Hamiltonian with the effective Skyrme interaction new ansatz for the repulsive core potential has been derived. The preliminary estimation indicates the strong exponential dependence of the core potential on the separation of the surfaces.
