New nucleon magic numbers far from stability is discussed based on study of several systemaics related to nuclear binding. The changes of nuclear shell structure around the N=16 region is experimentally investigated through measurement of two-neutron removal longitudinal momentum distribution of ^23O. Two neutrons, instead of one seem to have a strong possibility of occupying the 2s_1/2 orbital in this nucleus.
