The separation of load eccentricity and initial deviation of a column, both inevitable for human production, is investigated. In the analysis the high applied-load vs. Euler-load ratio is used to simplify the theoretical approach, whose good agreement is supported by the experimental verification. The experimental measurement and determination are done for 7075-T6 and 2024-T4 aluminum alloy bars with rectangular solid section. The results show the minor magnitude of load eccentricity, say, less than 10% of initial deviation, in most cases.
