The high precision optical beam tracking technique requires a more precise modeling for the optical telescope dynamics in order to suppress telescope vibrations. From this viewpoint, a modeling of distributed linear dynamical systems including nonuniform cases such as telescopes with tapered outer cylinders is discussed. Since the system is described by a second order ordinary differential equation, it can be represented by an infinite transmission matrik in which elements are functions of Laplace transform variable s. In particular, lossless systems can be modeled in each element by the entire function of s with infinite zereos which all locate in the left-half s^2 plane. This is our proposed model. These zeros as eigenvalues, or modes, of boundary value problems with respect to the above differential equation are numerically calculated by using the successive approximation method. Several illustrative numerical examples such as input characteristics, distribution of zeros, and modeling accuracies for both the symmetrical and asymmetrical nonuniform distributed systems are given.
