ln order to get snack for diabetics, different cookies and different marshmallows had been baked for an experiment, since polyphagia is one of the usual symPtoms of Diabetes mellitus and to get, over the complain is very important for the treatment of the disease. As they should not contain carbohydrate, soy-bean protein had been used as the main component. enriched with methionine. The best results were obtained by using the following materials: Cookies : Soy-bean protein 10g / Methionine(DL) 50mg / Crushed peanuts 10g / Egg white 1 piece / Dulcin 25mg / Oil 15g. Marshmallows : Soy-bean protein 10g / Methionine(DL) 50mg / Powder of cinnamic back 5g / Gelatin Powder 10g / Dulcin 1Omg / Saccharin 15mg / Water 100ccm. Thc nutritional value of both snacks or above mixtures added with essential vitamines was examined o11 Wister-King rats weighing 37g. The rats kept on the cookies showed the rapid growth while those on the marshmallows rather slow growth indicating inferior value of nutrition. The second experiment on rats kept on the marshmallows contained dextrin insted of the powder of citmamic bark and the cookies showed almost similar resultsrespectively.
