The bad influences on the environments, due to our dietary life, have been examined by measurung the wastes from cooking 30 kinds of dishes and their energy. The western dishes, on the average, brought more wastes than Japanese ones, because the former is more oily and viscous than the latter. Be conscious of the less waste in cooking, and the solid wastes and the water pollution are decreased to the extent of 52.3% and 50%, respectively. Furthermore, processed food stuffs didn't bring a decrease in wastes but an increase in wastes, because of the leftpvers of a box lunch as garbages and its packages.
