• This paper mainly identifies implication of the Economic Cooperate Regions in contemporary China. The reality being that the authority relationship between the central and local governments in contemporary China has become muddled due to its vast geographical area, and complex regional administrative organizations. China has a centralized regime, and basically denounces the idea of local autonomy. In contemporary China, the State Council, as the highest national administrative body, supervises local administrative organs in a unified manner and determines the specific allocation of authority between the central government and local administrative bodies. However, as a matter of fact, because China is geographically enormous, and has local organizations that are becoming complicated, a problem has developed such that the authority relationship between the central and local administration has become obscured. In addition, the vertical administrative structure in the central government is reflected in local administrative bodies, and therefore the "dual control system" at local administrative bodies is also pointed to as an institutional problem. Specifically, under this principle, Chinese local administrations are given guidance from higher administrative bodies as well as local Committees of Chinese Communist Party. Therefore, this paper will describe implication of the Economic Cooperate Regions in contemporary China and their probable functions.
