• The article presented herein is a book review of "Giacometti" by Isaku Yanaihara. Yanaihara posed in the same position for Giacometti for about two and half months in the fall of 1956. Although the artist had his model posing in his dim studio, as dusty and clutterd as a cellar, for some seventy days without even a day off, he never completed any of the paintings.This book shows how Giacometti worked with Yanaihara over those 70 days.
