Mankind is confronting the earth's environmental destruction: for instance, global warming, the destruction of the ozone layer, and acid rain. Therefore, we must grapple with environmental protection to maintain a "Green Earth". This article examines some preventive measures for global warming from the point of view of price mechanisms. The cause of global warming is carbon dioxide emissions. Therefore, it is desirable to add an environmental cost to the goods and services produced with the use of fossil fuels. By so doing, the price increases, and accordingly, the supply decreases. Some of the northern European countries have already introduced an environmental tax in view of the said mechanism since the early 1990's. To conclude, it is necessary to introduce the measures for environmental protection in our country, too.
