On English Language Prepositional-Binominal Noun Phrase Idioms

Supposing that there is some kind of cognitive concept in a person in a systematic way and that the concept is reflected in linguistic structures such as idioms, this paper discusses syntactic structures of Prepositional-Binominal Nnoun Phrase Idioms of English such as "in the pink of health" in terms of Size, Head and Stress Patterns of each idiom. The syntactic structures of these idioms will be categorized in one structural configuration "Prep + NP^1 + of + NP^2" with more than one subclass. It will be demonstrated that these idiomatic structures are very simple and that their size ranges are almost uniform.
