この論文は国立情報学研究所の学術雑誌公開支援事業により電子化されました。Using silicone-coated slide culture method (SSC method), the antituberculous activities of R. P against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv strain were evaluated at intermittent. short time and continuous exposure in vitro. The results obtained are as follows : 1. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of R. P at continuous exposure was less than 1.56mcg/ml. 2. The MIC of R. P, when the bacilli no the silicone-coated slide had contact with the test drug two days a week for four weeks, was less than 0.39mcg/ml, and when one day a week for four weeks, was 1.56mcg/ml, respectively. In case of R. P, the difference of the decrease of MIC between at intermittent and continuous exposure was less prominent in comparison with the results of SM. 3. The minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of R. P was fairly good and less than 0.195mcg/ml in four week continuous exposure. 4. In case of two days or one day a week contact for four weeks, the decrease of MBC compared to the continuous exposure for four weeks was remarkably smaller than that of SM. 5. The bactericidal effects of R. P at short time exposure was obviously superior to those of SM. The bactericidal effect of R. P was less than one tenth of that of REP at one week or two weeks exposure. On the other hand, the bactericidal effect of R. P was similar to results of RFP in continuous exposure for four weeks.
