仏教戒律における厠の構造とその使用規定について

律蔵における厠での作法,とりわけその浄化儀礼において,7世紀末,長期のインド留学から帰唐した義浄のもたらした根本説一切有部のそれは,極めて特異かつ複雑であり,5世紀前半に訳された他の漢訳諸律との相違が大きい。本稿は,その理由を探るため,諸律における厠の具体的な構造を明らかにし,そこで行われる作法の比較検討を試みた。The purpose of this thesis is to make clear the cause of uniqueness of Mulasarvastivadin's Vinaya texts on the manners of using a toilet according to cimparison with other sects' Vinaya texts. From this comparison it has been clarified there is a interesting difference about the manner for washing one's body after using a toilet. In Mulasarvastivadin's Vinaya, one washs his body in the toilet, after then he washs his hands and feet outside. So, in their monastery's area, there existed two washing places for hands and feet, but didn't for body. In others, there existed a washing place for body outside. It is supposed because Mulasarvastivadin had very strong idea of religious impurity and they developed a very complicated rite for purification.
