Ireland is an island situated off the Eurasian Continent and bears a geographical resemblace to the situation of Japan which is also an island country and lies off the opposite side of the same Continent. Although the natural surroundings of Ireland are somewhat similar to those of Japan, the political history of Ireland is quite different from that of Japan. Ireland has been ruled and colonized under the British imperial and colonizing force since the conquest of Henry II, who took advantage of the internal conflicts of the island and invaded Ireland in 1171 to be the overlord of the entire island. From that time through the Reformation up to the 'troubles' of Northen Ireland in the latter half of 20th century, the Irish have tried to recover their lost land and to regain old independence over and over again by means of bringing Continent powers in to support their uprising against British sovereign, a guerrilla war to protest the colonized regime, a newly-invented boycott method for resistance, hunger strikes, the political murals on house wall, marching on the streets to demonstrate against the British establishment or by any possible means to be thought of, all of which, do not necessarily bring any political fruits to the native Celtic people living in the Catholic community. In my short scientific account, I'll make an effort to analyse the social circumstance of Ireland historically and to find a better way of how to express the discriminated minority's wish of achieving the political solution.
