Toyohiko Kagawa (1888-1960) is a well-known leader of religion, labor movement, farm laborer movement and cooperative union movement. While he was also engaged in prescool education all his life. He established Matuzawa Kindergarden (1931) and originated "Teaching Plan of Nature for Infant" (1933), by which he promoted children to encounter natural fenomena and things. The plan was constituted of two challenges, diversification of children's learning experiences and redifinition of the place called kindergarden. The two purposes were excuted throught having infant appreciate Christian Love. After the Great Earthquake of 1923, Kagawa keenly recognized love of one's neighbors and spirit of "Shakai Kaizo" by organizing cooperative unions. The plan was characterized with two features. The first was diversification of children's learning experiences, which was composed of three special fields of art, scientice and religion. The second was connection of children spirits with Christian Love making intimate relationship with nature. It was this connection where Kagawa intended to establish fundamental base for "Shakai Kaizo". At this point this paper refer to some hazardous ideas embedded his conception of unification nature and love bacause, on the very conception, he sympathized with the dominant ideology at the time of World War II.
