Brutus, Cassius and other conspirators are not agreeable to Caesar's authority. They plan to make a sacrifice of Caesar's blood to Gods and to revive republican Rome. After assasination Brutus proposes to act a "lofty scene", in which they bathe their hands in his blood. This particular act is a repetition of the representation of Calphurnia's dream. Caesar can be seen as a figure who becomes a king by self-sacrifice. Antony, re-reading the body of Caesar symbolically, regards him as the heart of Roman body politic and makes believe that his bloody body is sacred. A sacrificial expression of the body is another repetition of the dream, in which Romans would like to dip their napkins to make relics. Relating reminiscences of Caesar and his testament, Antony elevates him into a quasi-divine figure. Calphurnia's dream, a lofty scene, and a representation of a divine body are repetitions and parodies of Christian sacrifice. Through reflections of those simulations the audience can see their own body politics and power politics.
