• Suttsu fishery harbor is located at the left side of mouth of Suttsu bay which is located in the Hokkaido southwest. The Suttsu district is famous for the strong wind. Fisheries are popular for this region, and the Suttsu fishery harbor is a base of fisheries. The important problems of the Suttsu fishery harbor are taken to prevent large waves, strong winds, tsunamis by the earthquake, and to reduce the surging in the basin by seiche of Suttu bay. Authors have the project of coastal engineering investigation of the Suttsu bay. This project is planned from 1999 to 2001. This report is first. In this report, accuracy of the GPS as a position measurement, wind, wave, water temperature, Na^+, pH, transparency, turbidity, water's color, water depth of fishery ground are written.
