In the previous paper we examined the distributions of the velocity, dry-and wet-bulb temperatures of the moist air current flowing through narrow-spaced, parallel and cooled surfaces, and obtained the following results : 1) the velocity profile is similar to that of the Poiseuille flow, 2) the absolute humidity in the boundary layers can be measured with thermocouples and 3) the mean heat transfer coefficient is expressed as a linear function of the difference between the inlet and outlet absolute humidities. In this report we make theoretical analysis for the distributions of the dry-bulb temperature and the absolute humidity from the stand point of the Poiseuille flow and obtain the eqs. (3-15) and (4-6) by the variable separation method. Good agreement between these equations and the experimental data is confirmed, as shown in figs. 3∿6. Applying these equations (3-15) and (4-6) to the definition of local heat transfer rate, we get eq. (5-6) which gives the mean heat transfer coefficient between the cooled surface and moist air flow. As indicated in table 2,there is a considerable agreement between the calculated values from eq. (5-6) and the experimental results. As eq. (5-6) has too complex a form for practical use, we illustrate the equation with the diagram shown in fig. 7,as mentioned in the paper. From these explanations we know that eq. (5-6) can be used for finding the rates of mean heat transfer between cooled surface and moist air flow.
