Chenopodium oil contained ascaridol is produced industrially by benzen extraction or steam distllaition from seeds and stalks of chenopodium anbrosioides L. var anthelmintica gray. The quantity of ascaridol in seeds has not been able to be measured accuratelly, so that the efficiency of these extractions also has not been measured accurately. Then we devise the new method of the quantitative analysis of ascaridol in seeds. The method is that the ascaridol in seeds is extracted by 90 volume percent of alcohol, and the filtrate is added by IN-NH_4Cl and H_2O, and then measured directly the ascaridol quantity by polarographic method. By this method, the efficiency of ascaridol productions and the amount of lose in the unit operations of ascaridol production is accurately measured.
