We described chiefly the transient torques, which were transfered from the separately exited DC motor to the load with moment of inertia through the connecting shaft when the system started from standstill. The general solution of the differential equations consists of the sum of two exponential damping and one damped oscillating torque components. The results detected by the strain gauge torque transducer indicate the similar waveforms to the solution. These time constants and angular velocity of oscillation will be calculated by the numerical method. This process is to find the two real-number roots of the 4th-order equation, and its coefficients are decided by the electrical and mechanical parameters of the system.
